Are you writing articles to generate leads for your business? If so you no doubt first have to do some research about your article. Then you work on your keywords, checking that they will rank highly with Google. Then you write your article, making sure you include your keywords just the right amount (but not too much!) The author rescource box comes at the end of your article and the directories allow you this space to put in your links. Alot of authors choose to write themselves a bio. This is not a great choice to make! Remember why you are writing articles. You didn’t write it just for fun did you? You are writing articles to generate free leads for your business. So actually the author resource is one of the most important parts of your article, as this is the point where the reader clicks your links or walks away!

These tips may help:

1 Try to make sure the reader does not notice that he is reading the author resource box, but feels he is still reading your article. Try to make it seamless, otherwise the reader may stop reading.

2 Remember you need to offer value to make people click on your links. Make them an offer they cannot refuse like free information. Try offering some ‘insider’ tips!

3 Offer something that solves a problem that the reader may have. If they are reading an article about article marketing, they may have problems about this subject. Imagine how you would feel in their circumstances. What did you find difficult when you first started writing articles? What did you need to know? Then offer them the solution in your author resource box.

4 Dont make your box too long and ensure you give them a call to action. This means telling the reader what to do next. You do not have to tell them to ‘click the link’ but encourage them to find out more or to grab your free stuff.

Generally you are allowed 2 or 3 links in your author resource box. To my mind two is sufficient. If someone is interested in your offers they may be confused if offered too many different links. Generally I will have one leading to my home page, or blog and one to the page with their free information or offer.

Always track your results to find out what is working. If they do not work, try something else.

Which Is The Best Way To Promote A Website

In my opinion the following examples of website promotion are the best ways to obtain an increase in traffic to your website. I am a webmaster who has quite a few websites and I have to say that article marketing has proven to be of great benefit over the years.

1. Pay per click advertising.

Pay per click advertising is becoming more and more popular with programs such as Google adwords reporting more and more people signing up to their service. I personally use pay per click however the costs are increasing each month as it like a form of auction. There are better ways of attracting visitors which are also free.

2. Article marketing.

Article marketing such as this one is my favourite form of web promotion, it is a superb way of link building. There are a huge amount of article directories which publish these types of content; some are very good such as ezinearticles and some of course are not so good. That is as long as it is a quality article and not just full of keywords. When other site owners choose to include your article on their website or blog this in turn then gives you a free backward link. Then there is the additional links that you gain when you have the article published in the article directory itself. These links are of huge value as they are what are called one way links. With the explosion and likely long term popularity of blogs, which of course require content, articles are the future for obtaining links. Hopefully a large amount of people will get to read your article and these are also potential visitors to your website/s.

I have had some great success in promoting my composite doors and poster printing websites via article marketing.

3. Obtaining backward links.

If you are trying to gain extra traffic to your website, looking to increase your search engine position or hoping to increase your page rank, it is a must to increase the amount of backward links you have.

The Art Of Link Building

I would have to say that the majority of people that I have met have very much a “get rich quick” philosophy when it comes to the internet. They are seeking virtually instant results and when they do not manage to achieve this they become despondent and then lose their drive. As an example I have introduced many people into article marketing, after all it has worked very well for me. After a little bit of explaining and tutoring these webmasters are quickly up to speed and ready to roll. Over the next six to eight weeks these webmasters will on average write 40 articles each. It is at around this point when these webmasters start to get bored of the whole writing thing – they had hoped and had even expected to perhaps become millionaires at this stage but it hasn’t quite happened for them.

So what happens next? Well they have not achieved the results that they had expected and are quickly losing interest. I would then attempt to talk them round by explaining the positive results that I have had via article marketing but guess what? Yes they stop writing articles. If they do not have the time or energy to continue writing themselves they could have hire an article submission service – but many of them just give up.

But lets just say that these people hadn’t have had such a short term attitude and had continued to write and submit articles – what would the results have been? In my opinion they would be dominating their niche, such as offering cat insurance, as long as they are also learning about other forms of website promotion and applying them.

Web promotion and link building services should, without doubt, be seen as a long term project. Yes we all want to see positive results quickly to give us a confidence boost but as long as we are doing the writing things, SEO wise, then we will succeed our goal of high rankings in the search engines.

Writing articles

I believe that the best forms of web promotion is by writing articles like the one you are reading. People reading the articles are potential visitors to your website, as you are able to include a link to your website in the article. Other webmasters are able to use the articles on their websites which creates you a one way backward link. Google are more likely to increase your page rank if you have a large number of backward links, especially one way links.

Link exchange program

As I have just stated, it is vitally important to spend time building up the number of backward links your website has. Joining a link exchange program can seriously reduce your workload, and people have told me that linkmetro is quite good.

I am one of many people who have realised the many benefits that writing articles can bring. Article marketing is now widely recognised as an excellent way of promoting a website, however there are many more opportunities out there to make money for the budding writer.

I just happened to stumble across the idea of writing articles around eight months ago when I was discussing different forms of website promotion with a friend of mine. I was looking at ways in which I could attract more visitors to my own sites and he advised me to commence writing articles.

The advice was sound and I have not looked back since. Writing articles is a superb way of gaining extra one-way backward links to your site and the readers of each article are also potential visitors. I have found using a professional article submission service to be more than useful as well. I run a stuttering therapy website where I offer a speech course to enable people to achieve fluency. Thanks to the power of article marketing more and more people are able to gain access to quality stuttering and stammering help. I also sell external doors on a part time basis for a composite door company.

I attempt to write around seven articles per week which is not easy at times but is something I am aware will help my sites.

In each article I try to give advice and attempt to make them enjoyable for any potential reader.

There are other ways that people like myself, who enjoy to write can make money from their skills.

Other people are also aware of the benefits of article marketing but just do not have the time to write themselves. These people are always on the lookout for somebody to help them out, somebody who will write and submit an article for them. To become noticed or to get your name out there is very easy; there are a number of websites on the net which enable people to advertise the services that they offer for free.

Other areas where people can earn additional cash from their skills is via writing freelance for newspapers and magazines. If your skills are of a higher enough quality and what you write is of interest to a wide audience, there is no reason why you could not earn money in this way.

Writing has never been more in demand and now is the time for people who feel that they have the gift to make the most out of this opportunity. There is a lot of rubbish being written on the web at the moment and quality will always stand out.

Many people might argue that they are not well enough educated to be accepted as a writer in certain quarters. This may well be correct for some people out there, however if you do not try you will never know. Content is king as they say and if your content is good enough and of interest, why would people have an issue with your lack of examinations etc.

Ensure that your content is easy to read and that all of the words are spelt correct. The world is your oyster, go for it.

Web Promotion Strategies For Newbies

One of the best ways of gaining additional traffic is to build up the number of backward links you have pointing to your website. The best form of link is a one-way link, where a website adds a link to your site but does not get one back from you. There are a number of ways of obtaining these type of links including:

Writing articles. Writing articles like this one has many benefits. Other webmasters may add the article to their blog or website and this creates you a one-way link. The people reading the article are also potential visitors to your site~Then there are the people who get to read the article; these are also people who could visit your site if they clickthrough to it}. This is something that I have been doing to promote my stuttering therapy website and what is more I enjoy writing about the best way on how to stop stuttering.

Contributing to site specific forums. I enjoy reading and contributing to forums. Not only do I learn a great deal, I am also able to get links back to my sites when I make a comment.

Submitting your site to directories.

Making comments on other peoples blogs. This is my least favourite of all of these examples as it can be seen as spam. There are many people who do believe that it can be of benefit; more fool them lol. I actually stay away from anything that could be considered as spam.

If you are struggling to find content you could use other peoples articles to help you. Where possible it would be beneficial to have each site on a separate server. This is of course very expensive and therefore it is not always suitable. This however can be very expensive and therefore for a smaller business may not be best advice.

There are a number of ways in which you can fund the project such as adding adsense to the site as well as affiliate links. This may not bring in huge amounts of money but could go some way to helping with hosting and domain renewal costs – this is something that a good friend once did with his budget package holidays and cheap phone calls websites.

In the future this network could be worth thousands of pounds if you have spent enough time promoting each site. At this stage you have the option of selling the network and relaxing or enjoying the benefits yourself that it will no doubt bring.

You will of course not only obtain additional traffic from obtaining these links but the readers of your article are also potential visitors to your site.

I personally think that article marketing is an essential part of any serious web promotion project.

How To Increase Your Google Adsense Earnings

It is a good idea to attempt to merge the ads into the content of the page; you can do this by choosing a similar font and colour. By doing this your visitors are more likely to click onto one of the ads and you will therefore earn more money. Where you place the google adsense is also of paramount importance. To this regard I would play about with the ad placement on a trial and error basis until you come up with the winning formula.

Writing articles can also help you to obtain more visitors to your site. The people who read the article are potential visitors, you also obtain a one way backward link from the article directory which you submit the article to, and other webmasters may also include the article on their own site, thus creating another one way backward link. These backward links help to increase your overall page rank. The higher the page rank, the more traffic you should receive.

Link exchange

Exchanging links with other websites which are hopefully in the same business sector as your own, also has value. These links are not as powerful as the one way links mentioned above but are still worth seeking.

You can e-mail or phone other webmasters to ask if they would be happy to swap links with your site.
