How I Ranked a Site Without Readable Content

How many times have you heard people say that you have to have lots of fresh content if you want your sites to do well in the search engines? What about telling you that your articles on your blogs need to be at least 300 to 500 words? Sound familiar?

What if I told you that everything you have learned about content being the main reason your website will do well in the search engines is a myth? Maybe you’re thinking that I’m full of it. Hm… well, I have to say I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that. The fact is people will write articles about how to apply SEO to your website when they have never done it themselves. They are simply copying from everyone else online. Instead of listening to someone who was hired to research SEO, maybe it’s time to consider what really goes on by hearing what someone who actually does SEO for a living knows about it.

Of all the search engines that you want to pay attention to your website, Google is it. Google has over 60% of the market when it comes to people searching for information online. Google does love content and having tons of content on your website will indeed help you do well in the search engines. Having 60% of the search market is of course why people go nuts over the issues involving content.

The second area that people focus on is on-site search engine optimization. While this can absolutely help your search engine ranking, it can also be something that is not necessary in order to rank your site on the first page in Google.

What you have on your website should be exactly what your visitors want, not exactly what the search engines algarythem’s are looking for. How you present your content should be for the purpose of how your visitor will feel about it. Not how Google, Bing or Yahoo will analyze it.

When you think about SEO you need to separate this thinking from how you think about your content. Having a website that contains 30 pages of content will allow you to use SEO in a far greator capacity, but it does not mean you must have 30 pages in order to drive organic search engine traffic to your site.

Think about it. If you have 50 web pages full of quality content, what will you be able to do that a single page website cannot? Well, 50 pages allows you to rank hundreds of keyword search terms whereas a single page of content will allow you to rank well for perhaps just a few keyword search terms.

But the question still remains. Can you rank a website that has no readable content? Instead of tell you here, why not watch the video and see the results I was able to get with a single page website that had less than 5 words on it.
